Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for multi-stop delivery routes within Baton Rouge metro area
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and adhere to FMCSA safety regulations
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs (ELD)
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization and customer communication
- Represent company professionally with clients and vendors
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- 2+ years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Baton Rouge geography and surrounding areas
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Must have reliable smartphone for communication apps
