Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul routes throughout New York and surrounding areas
- Plan and optimize daily delivery schedules using our remote fleet management system
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and securement protocols
- Communicate with dispatch team and clients via digital platforms for real-time updates
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety standards
- Document delivery receipts and resolve any shipment discrepancies promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (minimum 3 years experience)
- Proven expertise in operating tractor-trailers and heavy freight vehicles
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong navigation skills with experience using GPS and route planning software
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities in remote work settings
- Strong digital communication skills for remote coordination with dispatch
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
