Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver freight to designated stops in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment as needed.
- Verify delivery documentation, including bills of lading and proof of delivery signatures.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedule changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to read maps and GPS systems effectively.
- Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as required.
