Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of freight.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and delivery documentation (BOLs, PODs).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, or issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Familiarity with logbook requirements and electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle repairs.
