Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial Class A vehicle to deliver freight to designated routes in and around the Virginia Beach area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper securing of goods to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor and resolving delivery issues efficiently.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Report mechanical issues or safety concerns to management immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual tasks associated with loading/unloading.
