Job Summary:
As a Route Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various commercial and residential locations within the Lubbock area and surrounding regions. Your role is vital to our supply chain, ensuring our customers receive their products on time and in perfect condition.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles on designated routes in and around Lubbock, TX.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and handle inquiries professionally.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Keep the truck clean and organized, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in long-haul or local route driving preferred.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
