Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on assigned regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo is protected and properly documented.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery locations, including proper paperwork handling.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, traffic signals, and company driving policies.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License required (Must have correct endorsements for cargo type).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) and a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and safety procedures.
- Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission trucks.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
