Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials (gravel, asphalt, demolition debris) to job sites throughout Baltimore County
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure DOT compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team via remote digital tools for real-time route adjustments
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic documentation using our mobile reporting app
- Adhere to strict safety protocols during loading/unloading operations and site navigation
- Collaborate with site supervisors to ensure timely material deliveries for construction schedules
- Participate in monthly safety training sessions (remote-friendly virtual options available)
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial dump truck operation experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Strong attention to detail for pre-trip inspections and documentation
- Physical capability to climb equipment, lift 50+ pounds, and work in varying weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting common vehicle issues
- Reliable transportation to depot for shift start (remote administrative tasks from home)
