Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional routes within New York and surrounding states
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logging system compliance
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs promptly
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts with proper certification
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Assist in training new drivers on route navigation and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly and operate warehouse equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS)
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Availability for overnight trips (1-2 nights per week)
