Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and trailers on designated local and regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery, mileage, and fuel usage in electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Interact professionally with customers and third-party logistics partners to resolve delivery issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
- Keep the truck and trailer interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a valid Medical Card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (Class A preferred).
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) compliant background check and drug screen.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
