Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) on local delivery routes and commercial sites.
- Load and unload freight using hand trucks, dollies, and pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery receipts.
- Provide professional, courteous customer service during every interaction.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience (local route preferred).
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle operation.
- Reliable work history and excellent time management skills.
