Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes in the Greater Los Angeles area
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals while adhering to flexible scheduling requirements
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting all maintenance and safety concerns
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, electronic records, and customer documentation using fleet management systems
- Communicate proactively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status and route adjustments
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of cargo and proper handling of specialized materials as required
- Comply with all DOT regulations, company policies, and local traffic laws at all times
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment
- Proven ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong knowledge of Los Angeles metropolitan area geography and traffic patterns
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation technology
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks related to cargo handling
- Pass comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills in dynamic environments
