Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within Pennsylvania and surrounding states
- Perform thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling protocols
- Adapt schedules to accommodate personal commitments while meeting delivery deadlines
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding route changes or delays
- Comply with all FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
- Complete delivery documentation and verify shipment accuracy
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment familiarization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings, nights, weekends as needed)
- Proficient with GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Strong knowledge of Philadelphia metro area and regional highways
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- High school diploma or equivalent required
