Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to customers across the Chicago area.
- Plan and execute daily delivery routes to ensure on-time arrivals and optimal efficiency.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers, answering questions and resolving delivery issues.
- Manage all required paperwork, including delivery receipts and electronic logs (ELD).
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo compartment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card) valid for at least 60 days.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and paperwork.
