Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional routes within North Carolina and surrounding states
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Plan efficient routes while meeting delivery deadlines and customer expectations
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Represent our company professionally through exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route navigation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including overnight trips
