Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations within the region.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while interacting with customers and the public.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Log hours of service (HOS) accurately using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional road maps and traffic patterns.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
