Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods on dedicated routes
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Document delivery information and maintain customer communication
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) usage
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Knowledge of Maryland and surrounding state highway systems
- Willingness to submit to background checks and MVR review
