Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers on designated routes in and around the San Antonio area and beyond.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records in strict adherence to FMCSA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with consignees and shippers.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to minimize accidents and promote a culture of safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial truck.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to submit to a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and map reading.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
