Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on designated routes throughout Virginia Beach and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload freight using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Inspect the vehicle for mechanical issues before and after each shift and report any necessary repairs.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including HOS (Hours of Service) and delivery receipts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring deliveries are made professionally and on time.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a similar role.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
