Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate maintenance logs
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation while meeting strict delivery timelines
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and securement methods
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, or delivery exceptions
- Maintain clean and organized cab environment
- Complete electronic logging system (ELD) documentation daily
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and electronic logging systems
- Knowledge of Baltimore metro area and Mid-Atlantic corridor routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to start shifts as early as 4:00 AM
