Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional deliveries within Baton Rouge and surrounding areas
- Perform pre-trip inspections, routine maintenance checks, and ensure vehicle compliance with DOT regulations
- Optimize route efficiency while adhering to delivery schedules and customer requirements
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs (ELD)
- Represent our company professionally while interacting with clients and team members
- Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in ongoing training programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading/unloading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route planning software
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
