Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently across designated routes
- Perform thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan and optimize delivery routes while adhering to strict time schedules
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff
- Ensure 100% compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Document delivery details and resolve any shipment discrepancies promptly
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and route navigation systems
- Strong knowledge of Michigan roadways and weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
