As a Route Driver, you will be the face of our company, ensuring our clients receive their shipments on time and in perfect condition. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan.
Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently across the San Francisco region.
- Cargo Handling: Perform proper loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring weight distribution and securement.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, complete Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR), and report mechanical issues immediately.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and manage delivery documentation.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and vendors, resolving delivery issues on the road with a customer-centric approach.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal traffic laws as well as company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Medical: Current DOT medical card and DOT physical examination on file.
- Clean Record: Demonstrated history of a clean driving record and no major traffic violations.
- Screening: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and navigation tools.
