Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMV) on assigned routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical integrity and DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, handling freight with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and complete all necessary delivery paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery stops and resolve any on-site issues professionally.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, traffic conditions, and delivery status.
- Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and safety standards.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
