Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within Illinois and surrounding states
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain accurate logs, inspections, and compliance documentation
- Load/unload freight with precision and care, ensuring damage-free deliveries
- Manage efficient delivery schedules while maintaining exceptional customer service standards
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for optimal route planning and on-time performance
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve route issues and communicate delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional overnight trips as needed
