Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within Southern California
- Maintain precise delivery schedules while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance reports
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams
- Implement defensive driving practices in all weather and traffic conditions
- Manage electronic logging systems (ELD) and route documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification and TWIC card preferred
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices and route planning software
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional overnight routes
