Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within Reno and surrounding areas
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations, safety protocols, and pre/post-trip inspection procedures
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment while maintaining inventory accuracy
- Optimize delivery efficiency through effective route planning and GPS navigation
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation (BOLs, logs, mileage)
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Represent the company professionally with exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, HOS, and safety compliance
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and operate loading equipment (pallet jacks, forklift certification a plus)
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Local Reno/Northern Nevada geography knowledge preferred
