Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport packages to residential and commercial destinations.
- Perform efficient loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring all items are secure and accounted for.
- Navigate local routes in Richmond, VA, adhering to strict time schedules and traffic regulations.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain digital or handwritten signatures for all packages.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional appearance while on the clock.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Keep delivery vehicles clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no major infractions).
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate commercial vehicles.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with the Richmond, VA area is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions on the road.
- Basic computer skills for logging delivery data and tracking.
- Physically fit and capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
