Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for multi-state routes with on-time delivery rates exceeding 98%
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logbooks (ELD compliance)
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and delivery exception handling
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling of temperature-sensitive materials when required
- Train on new technologies including our fleet telematics and route optimization platforms
- Participate in quarterly safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with FMCSA regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years (DUI, reckless driving, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Proficient in electronic logging devices and basic GPS navigation
- DOT medical certification current and on file
- Flexible availability including overnight trips and weekend coverage
- Experience with hazmat tanker endorsements preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills for client interactions and team coordination
