Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on designated routes
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and maintain accurate maintenance logs
- Load/unload cargo using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Manage delivery schedules and communicate with dispatch/customers
- Complete electronic logging systems (ELD) and required paperwork
- Operate in all weather conditions while maintaining on-time delivery performance
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean MVR (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Familiarity with North Carolina roadways and hazmat endorsement preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service orientation and communication abilities
