Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within Kansas City and surrounding areas
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment and secure cargo properly
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Represent Swift Transport Solutions professionally at all client locations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Kansas City metro area and regional highways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Clear communication and customer service abilities
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including early mornings
