Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated Austin routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload cargo with precision using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Build strong customer relationships through professional delivery interactions
- Adapt routes efficiently using GPS technology to meet tight delivery schedules
- Report maintenance issues and perform minor repairs as needed
- Uphold strict safety protocols and FMCSA regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean MVR (no serious violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and route navigation systems
- Strong knowledge of Austin metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- DOT-compliant medical certificate
