Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within 200-mile radius
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Handle freight documentation and verify shipment contents upon delivery
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions
- Assist in loading/unloading operations as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of regional geography and NY traffic laws
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging systems
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
