Your Responsibilities
As a Night Shift Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of freight from Charlotte, NC to Detroit, MI and surrounding areas. You will ensure that all cargo is handled with care and that all company policies are followed.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long-haul routes including Detroit, MI.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper tie-down techniques.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT/Eld) and documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and delays.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company driving standards.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license required.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Must be willing to work Night Shift hours.
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Drug Screen.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours of service (HOS) rules.
