Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight safely and efficiently to designated locations within the Dallas metro area and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues to ensure 100% compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) and secure loads properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and complete all necessary delivery paperwork accurately and on time.
- Interact professionally with customers and clients at delivery sites, resolving any issues or delays immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company driving policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Must be willing and able to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and safety procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail for documentation.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform manual tasks at loading docks.
