Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers to deliver freight on time and within schedule.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) while ensuring cargo security.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving time, miles driven, and delivery status (ELD compliance).
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates and any delays.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in freight transport.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex routes.
