Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols are followed.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues or damage.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery times, miles driven, and cargo status using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Uphold a clean driving record and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement procedures and DOT regulations.
- Excellent navigation skills and ability to operate GPS systems.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
