Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo protection.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery receipts, and electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A issued by the state of Oregon.
- Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of DOT hours-of-service regulations.
- Excellent time management skills and navigation proficiency.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
