Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a professional and courteous manner.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Driver's Logs (ELD) and compliance documents.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) issued by the state of Louisiana.
- A current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
