Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe and efficient manner on local and regional routes throughout Charlotte, NC and Georgia.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo is secured properly and handling with care.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation for all trips in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Uphold a professional image and demonstrate a commitment to customer service excellence.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and trip management.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
