Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and trailers to deliver freight to customers in Jacksonville, FL, and Georgia.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects or issues in the DVIR.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Provide excellent customer service during loading and unloading processes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, traffic, or delivery issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic math skills for weight calculation and paperwork.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required by the shift schedule.
