Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles in a safe, efficient, and legal manner at all times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure vehicle safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the truck cab and trailer clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) required.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred.
