Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in a safe and efficient manner to ensure timely delivery of freight.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to safety protocols to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to maintain a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
