Your Mission
As a driver for Pacific Coast Logistics, you are the face of our company. You will ensure our freight arrives safely and on time while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo efficiently to prevent damage and ensure accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and delivery logs.
- Adhere to strict time limits for loading and unloading to keep the supply chain moving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve any issues promptly.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and DOT Drug Screen clearance.
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, road safety, and navigation.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment screening.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork completion.
