Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles on various routes throughout North Carolina and surrounding states.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure the safety of passengers and cargo.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of North Carolina.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a commercial vehicle across state lines.
- Must have a clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination to obtain a medical card.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Willingness to undergo our company-sponsored training program if you have a CDL but limited experience.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude while on the road.
