Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on assigned routes throughout Miami and the surrounding region.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure 100% compliance with DOT regulations.
- Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and bars to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding traffic conditions, delivery windows, and potential delays.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT Drug Screening Certificate.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong knowledge of geographic routes in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor troubleshooting.
