Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated individuals to transport goods safely and efficiently across the region. As a key member of our logistics team, you will ensure timely delivery while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and handling of hazardous materials if required.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records to demonstrate compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues and confirm schedules.
- Uphold a professional image while representing the Apex Logistics brand.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and cargo securement procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
