Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and trailers on regional and long-haul routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling.
- Maintain accurate Hours of Service (HOS) logs and electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Complete all necessary delivery paperwork and inspection reports accurately.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and safety personnel.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) valid for at least 6 months.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.) in the last 3 years.
- At least 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and safety regulations.
- Willingness to travel to New York and other designated regions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
