Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tractor-trailers on regional routes within Tennessee and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report mechanical issues immediately.
- Secure cargo using appropriate tie-downs and equipment, adhering to load securement regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers and dispatch to ensure timely delivery and satisfaction.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any irregularities to the maintenance department.
- Uphold all safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than two preventable accidents in the last three years.
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to load/unload cargo and perform basic vehicle maintenance.
