Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles on various road conditions and routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo is protected from damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and status updates.
- Uphold a professional image and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and cargo handling procedures.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays if required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and willingness to perform minor vehicle maintenance.
